SafeCir

How can we help?

Answers about how SafeCir works. If yours is not here, email us.

What is SafeCir?

A parental control app for Android. You use the Parent app on your phone to see screen time, manage apps, filter websites and check location on your child's phone.

Do I need SafeCir on both phones?

Yes. The Parent app goes on your phone and the Child app goes on your child's phone. The two are linked, so the rules you set reach the child's phone.

Will my child know they are being monitored?

You can show a message on the child's phone, for example "Parent is watching you". Supervision is meant to be open, not hidden.

Why does SafeCir ask for the Accessibility Service?

So it can see which app is open on the child's phone and apply the app limits you set. It is not an accessibility tool.

Is SafeCir a VPN?

No. It uses Android's VpnService to filter websites, but it is a parental control app and not a VPN service for general use.

When does SafeCir use location?

Only after location permission and supervision are turned on for the child's phone. Then it can use location, including in the background, for the location history and safe zone features.

Can two parents manage the same child?

Yes. Invite the other parent by email. Both of you then see the same child profiles and rules.

Can I change settings on my child's phone from far away?

Yes, as long as the child's phone is online. Settings you change in the Parent app are sent to it over the internet.

Does every restriction work on every phone?

No. It depends on the Android version, the phone's settings and the options that are turned on. Some phones may not enforce every limit.

Where are the privacy policy and account deletion details?

On the Privacy page, including account and data deletion.
